Project Goals
The goal of this project was to design unique book covers for each book in the Being Wichita Women series. Each book is a themed anthology.
Deliverables
The final deliverables for this project are custom book cover designs for both hardcopy and ebook distribution. This project is ongoing. Two of the five book covers have been delivered.
Creative Process
Toni worked closely with Danielle to define the scope, set a schedule, and organize reviews for timely delivery. The creative work was accomplished in three phases which also included color palette selection. Early on an illustrative style was determined for use across the series to create a cohesive collection of designs. Frequent checkpoints and reviews keep the client informed and ensured client satisfaction at delivery.
Materials
The illustrations were hand-drawn in Procreate. Final layouts and text were completed in Adobe Illustrator. No artificial intelligence was utilized in the creation of these illustrations.
Quiet Storm commissioned Toni to create book cover designs for the Being Wichita Women anthology of which two of the five planned books are designed. This project also includes Spanish-language versions.
